New textures have been released for World Texture Editor! You can now see all released textures (and sometime a little preview of what's coming next) in the Texture Showcase, here: vww://utherverse.vww/Textures/Showcase

Unfortunately, we are unable to add more texture categories at the moment. Because of this, we'll be releasing new textures in batches so that you can familiarize yourself with what's new and where to find it. Hopefully we'll be able to add more categories later to make things easier to find.

Due to restrictions on the number of characters in one post, only the preview image and a link to each showroom will be listed in the original post here. The preview property only includes one version of each texture, however several colour variations have been released.

You can scroll through the thread responses to find each individual release and see a list of all the textures added per release.

I have long been hoping for new World Textures.

I would much rather see the ability to add them, or have the option of changing those surfaces using textures of my own.

Still, this is a very nice development, one I admit I thought would never materialize.

I so have a question about future additions,

"Will there be any input from the membership on new selections of materials to be added to the World Textures Library?"
If technology was perfect, ...it wouldn't need US....

I can't say if you'll be able to add your own, as adding that functionality is beyond my ability, but you're welcome to make suggestions here! We have selected some of the textures (there are lots coming) based on suggestions we've heard over time, but I'm happy to hear more ideas and add them if we haven't already selected some that fit.

Be really cool if we could have the entire collection of WT on a Tab with common links for all on the social page somewhere, then they could also be used for properties that have lighting in them as well.

As I said some time ago, it would be a great progression for people learning to deco starting with WT, then progressing into using light scripts, and replacing/covering the original choice with props with the same textures on, to enhance the creation.

But fuck it lets all save them if we want to use them in UB or Pictures on profiles so it takes up more server space, sorry I forgot to apply Uther Logic I correct my self, what a shit Idea.....

Missed it a bit. You paint up world textures until it's as you like it, then one random day they plaster some gigantic crap on top and you have to try to prop over it all anyway with the same texture you've now had to retrieve and upload somewhere to script on a tileable prop, if there is one, and hope it looks somewhat near how you had it before.
