i invited someone to have sex but i got a message that you need a vip build. what does this mean?

This means you need to go to www.redlightcenter.com and download the Full aka VIP version and install that. The Basic version does not have the sex animations, the VIP version has those. You also will have a lot of user made textures you can put on (and see).

That makes me wonder if you really downloaded the VIP aka Full version.

On one of these links you can download the Full aka VIP version. After the download is completed, you can install it over the Lite/Basic version.
