How to Hold an Event, Wedding and Divorce in RLC

Getting your Event in RLC

In order to arrange an event in RLC you must fill out the RLC Event Request Form.
This form can be found by visiting:http://www.redlightcenter.com/eventrequest.asp


Below are Event Request Guidelines for getting your event in RLC:

-All forms must be completed fully. Forms that are not filled out completely and accurately will not be considered for approval. Please check that all spelling and grammar is correct and that all information is accurate (i.e. the name of the venue, name of DJ etc.).

-All applications will be honored on a first come, first served basis. If your desired venue is not available at the time specified, an alternate location and/or date/time will be offered to you. All approved events will be placed in the RLC calendar.

-Once the form has been submitted, you can expect a response within 24 to 48 hours. All event requests must be submitted no later then one week prior to the date of the event. Requests submitted after this deadline may or may not be honored, depending on the nature of event, space available and availability of Host/ess and/or DJs.

-Once your application has been approved and your event placed in the RLC Calendar, you will then be assigned a DJ and/or Host/ess to your event if they have been requested. Please note there is no guarantee that a DJ and/or Host/ess can be arranged for you on the specific time, date and venue you have requested. If this is the case you will be notified of this and alternate arrangements can be made. �


DJs:
There is a charge of 20 rays for the acquiring and use of a DJ for your event. These rays must be received before the process of securing a DJ can commence. Once the rays have been received and a DJ has been located you will received a confirmation email regarding this.

Please note: If a DJ fails to show up at your event is it your responsibility to immediately inform the Events Office. You may inform the events office by sending an email to: anna@redlightcenter.com Once you have informed the office that the DJ has not shown up for your event, you will be reimbursed the full amount of your rays� fee and/or we will attempt to arrange an alternate DJ for your event. �

All rays for DJs must be submitted to http://social.redlightcenter.com/Anna prior to arranging your DJ.


Venues:
Certain venues are privately owned and permission must be sought from the owner before an event can be held. This may delay the time in arranging your event. The venue may also be subject to a fee per use for all events. This fee will determined by the individual owner(s) of that venue.

The following venues are currently privately owned: Tex's Last Stand, Leather and Lace, Caddie's Wellness Center, TKOH, Gallery, The Bordello etc. Other venues such as Blus, Fever and the Hotel etc. are public and are not subject to any fees for use of the venue.

All rays for privately owned venues must be submitted to �http://social.redlightcenter.com/Anna prior to arranging your venue.

*All events placed in the RLC events Calendar are deemed official events and therefore have exclusive right to the use of that reserved venue during the set times listed in the calendar.


Billboards:
If you wish to submit your own billboard for promotional purposes of your event you may do so by sending the billboard to: anna@redlightcenter.com All billboards must be received no later then 3 business days prior to the date of the event, are subject to approval and meet the required specifications.

1-      Must be 512 pixels in length and 256 pixels in height.
2-      Must be in jpg. format
3-      Must not contain any offensive material.
4-      Must not contain any copyrighted material.


Time Zone:

Special Requests:
All special requests must be made at the time of submission of your application.
Please note:
1-Not all special requests can be honored due to a number of factors, however we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

2-All special requests must be made at the time of your submission of the event request application. Failure to do so may result in your request not being honored.

3-Due to technical issues, some requests may not be honored despite pre approval.


Canceling your Event:
In the event that you wish to cancel your event you must inform the events and media director in writing of your intent to cancel by sending an email to: anna@redlightcenter.com
Cancellations must be received at least 48 full hours before the date of your scheduled event. A confirmation of cancellation will be sent to you within 24 hours of receiving it.

Current Fees for Venues:


Fees to reserve Caddies Wellness Center:

2 Types of rentals - one that is open to the public and one that is private.

-For a public rental: 75 Rays
This includes an anonymous posting in the Events thread. If they would like their name and type of event included in the posting, they can just let me know.

-For a private function: 150 rays
A private function will include the posting as above, and a list of guests who are invited. This event will not be open to the public.

Cancellation Policy for Caddie's Wellness Center:
In the event that your event is cancelled with at least ONE weeks notice you will recieve a refund of 40 rays for the public rental and 75 rays for the private function. If you DO NOT cancel your event with at least ONE weeks notice then you will not be eligable to receive a refund.


Fees to reserve Tex's Last Stand:

-Weddings - 20 Rays
Bachelor parties - Free with wedding reservation
Bachelorette Parties - Free with wedding reservation

-One time Event Rental - 10 Rays
-Weekly Event Rental - one time charge of 20 rays

Getting Married in RLC
In order to arrange a wedding ceremony and/or reception in RLC you must fill out the RLC Wedding Event Application Form.

Weddings:
All types of weddings are permitted in RLC and there is no restriction on the type of wedding ceremony possible. Some ceremonies performed in RLC are: traditional, religious, hand fasting, collaring ceremonies, multiple marriages, group weddings etc. These are only examples of the types of weddings and ceremonies offered in RLC; remember you are only limited by your own fantasy.

Wedding and Reception Application Fees:
�50 rays for the JOP to perform your wedding ceremony (includes wedding planner service, and marriage certificate)
�10 rays for the Wedding Ceremony Host/ess (up to a maximum of 1 hour*)
�10 rays for the Wedding Ceremony DJ (up to a maximum of 1 hour*)
�25 rays for Wedding Reception Host/ess (up to a maximum of 3 hours**)
�25 ray for the Wedding Reception DJ (up to a maximum of 3 hours**)

*Each additional hour over the first hour of a wedding reception will cost an additional 5 rays per hour.
** Each additional hour over the first three hours of a wedding reception will cost an additional 10 rays per hour.

Before your wedding can be approved, all fees must be transferred to the following account: http://social.redlightcenter.com/Anna
Once your wedding and/or reception fees have been paid, the organization, planning and executing of your event will commence.

Waiting Period:
Please note there is a minimum 30 day waiting period for all wedding ceremonies and receptions. All applications must be received no later then 30 days prior to the date of the event. All approved events will be placed in the RLC calendar.

Wedding Planner Service:
Included in the 50 rays fee for the JOP is the RLC complementary wedding planner service. Once you application and fees have all been received and approved you will be contacted by one of our RLC wedding planners who will assist if you wish in arranging  special requests including textures, invitation cards, thank you cards and your wedding certificate. There are also there to assist you in the overall design of you wedding ceremony and/or reception. You are not obligated to use the RLC wedding planner service and can decline this assistance at any time.
Please note: There may be an additional fee to request specific textures for your wedding. This is to be arranged directly with the texture designer and or your wedding planner and is not the responsibility of the Events Office.

Venues:

Getting Divorced in RLC


Divorces are an optional component to RLC and are not required in order to get remarried in the event of a split from a previous marriage or to marry another member of RLC if you are currently involved in a marriage (i.e. multiple marriages).

If you wish to request an official RLC divorce all individuals involved must:

1-Agree to the Divorce.*
2-Send a written request of divorce to Dinah Diamond (Head of RLC Divorces) at:dinahdiamond@gmail.com
3-Send 15 rays each in divorce proceeding fees to http://www.utherverse.com/DDiamond

Once all of the above steps have been completed you will be issued an official RLC Certificate of Divorce. Once the certificate has been issued, you can request to have your divorce officially announced on the Events Team Site. At this time you can also request the removal of your wedding album on the site and/or have the certificate of divorce added to it.

Once again RLC Divorces are entirely optional and not required to get remarried.

*Dinah Diamond is available for consultations prior to arranging a divorce. Email her for more details.

Event Billboards:

Users are free to make their own billboards to be placed in world, BUT they must be approved and meet the specs. If you can't make one, one can be made for you.  

If you like to create your own billboard for your event in RLC the following rules apply:

5- All billboards must NOT contain any copywritten material
