Alot of profile and other internet problems can be resolved by clearing your cache and internet files.
Here are instructions on how to do that in Internet Explorer 6 and in Firefox 2.0.
Internet Explorer 6
Open Internet Explorer.
Click Tools, then Internet Options
It should open up in the General tab of Internet Options.
You will see the Temporary Internet Files section.
Click "Delete Cookies" and "Delete Files".
If it asks to confirm Delete all files, click OK.
Close Internet Explorer and re-open it.

Firefox 2.0
Open FireFox.
Click Tools. Then Options.
Click the Privacy tab.
Then in the Private Data, click the Clear Now button.
Then make sure Cache is checked, any of the other boxes are your choice.
Then click Clear Private Data Now.
Close Firefox and re-open it
