Hey all,
What would cause an individuals profile to seemingly disappear from your friends list and from a search in general? Would having being blocked do that?

It can be that you are accidentally on ignore list there. If you both have the same friends, ask one if he or she can contact the other member to check that on their profile. Alternatively to having you on ignore, they may just have changed their privacy settings in options to the following: Section "I want to show up" In searches - no To my friends - never These settings would have the effect you describe. They would then only show up in the "local" list for the place & dim they were in.
