Hey gang,
I'm trying to make my own textures, but I have absolutely no idea where to start.
Can anyone tell me: How to make my own textures and what program I can use best?

Use any image editing prog that can work in layers..most use photoshop..some also use gimp.
If you look in the custom textures section there is a nice helpful post on how to get started.

Really? I thought you would need 3D-software for it or something?
are there some standard files I can edit to make my own or do I just edit a random one?

but I thought I'd post it here, before I'm not requesting someone to make me some, but I really want to know how to make textures.

Also don't forget nobody will be able to see your textures in RLC as they have to download your textures and put them in their folders.
If they don't download your textures you will just look a grey color in RLC.
