I have wondered this, apparantly if you go into your avatar text via your profile then you just delete the line of text for the pants and they go, ive yet to try it though (was only told about it last night). It is annoying having to wear some form of pants with a skirt as it often shows through.

Another way to get rid of extra clothing: Once you get your avatar naked, use one of your saved outfit slots to save "naked." Then you can always get back to naked, but still keep wings, glasses, etc.
