Well, I saved five outfits [could have saved fifty!] and have 'put them on'.
And nothing happens. I end up wearing the one I wore last. Am I missing something
here?

And now I have to go away. This place is too addictive!

With the new system, the only way, at this point in time, is to logg out and back in. will be bringing this up to staff and see if they can make it so we don't have to logg out then back in

I'm really sorry to be lame-ass dumb but I 'am' new around here. How can you do 'anything' if you're logged out? I've tried minimizing the social center and then logging in-world and then changing the avatar. Then I go back in-world and do 'show changes' and nothing happens. Or, I do 'don't show changes' and then 'show changes' and nothing happens. OK, and starting from the point that I have five outfits saved, what do I do? From step uno to step lasto?

Trust Me close utherworld 3d then save your outfit then open/start logon to utherworld again
even though sometimes the way we have to do things doesnt seem to make any sense at all
this is our tech staff upgrading our server
its better than trying to get some one to "fix" it

The way I save outfits is when I have one picked out I make a copy of myinfo file then name it so I know what it is then paste it somewhere I want to save it.like on my desktop..when I want to wear a specific something I open up one of the files I saved, cope it,delete everything out of myinfo file that I am using at the moment then paste the saved outfit I want, save changes then log in,done.

And Lena's solution makes perrfect sense, as does Ilene's. They just don't work for me.
There is supposed to be a patch released this weekend. Maybe good things will happen.

Miriell do you have vista??

if so and not sure if I am explaining it right but here it goes Tongue

if you have vista save your myinfo file by clickin on "save as" and as "all files" not "text files" and make sure you save it as myinfo.ini

just make sure ya have a myinfo on hand if it all goes belly up and U can change back ;d

On the road to Tarsus St. Paul had a vision.I have just had a vision of my own, or perhaps revalation is a better word, or maybe the light builb just went on, over my head. In the time I've been screwing around with this, I could have ad-libbed about 500 outfits in 'customize!

Lena, I am running Vista and I'm sure that the problem is 'that'.

I was just over on the QA forum and Brrian assures that the problem 'will' be addressed in the software version to be released very shortly.

What i do is find the clothes i want to wear then go to RLC folder in Windows C: then go to My info file copy all. Then I open microsoft word and paste in there name it, Then make a new folder call it clothes paste your microsoft word file you just made in that folder. Then copy folder and paste folder in the main page of RLC in C: The same location as my info file. When you want to change open your new folder copy the microsoft word contents, then go to my info hit edit select all delete, then paste what you copied and hit save in my info file. Takes me less than 1 min to do this change, practice makes perfect I have 40 sets of clothes in that folder. Also a good tip is to burn a copy of that clothes folder in case you need to reinstall windows for some reason. Hope this helps may need to read it a few times to understand Smile

OK, I downloaded the new version [Uther3d] without incident. World looks good. My Babe looks like shit! She has aquired the ghastly metallic smile that so creeps me out. Yuck. The world base is Utherwold digital. I can't so far at least, find the 'my info' file in this venue. None of the usual edits does any good.
Clothes, acessories, no prob. Just that castle dracula grin. It has me reaching for the garlic! Now I'm informed that the 'old' world be closed sooner or later, probably sooner. A solution is needed. A thought just struck me, I don't actually have a 3d graphic card installed [soon] Could this be the problem?

The 'save outtfit' thing is one thing. This is entirely a different matter. There is no way that I'm walking around looking like this.

Once again.......help

Okay, first up the new Utherverse 3D Client doesn't have a MyInfo file, it is held server side..... go to your profile click on the My Profile tab and you will find a sub-tab called Avatar - this is now your new MyInfo....(this only works on the new server so any changes made via that will only take effect in the "New RLC". Treat it as you would your old MyInfo, fill in the blanks so to speak and then log into the new world....

Hope that helps at least a small amount...not sure what you can do about your smile, I know they were having some issues with "faces" so it could be this causing the problem, I haven't had chance to log in recently to see.

The thing that pisses me off most about RLC is the consistent lack of systematic technical info updates. As a convenient 'for instance' is the information
posted above. One day, the new 'avatar' tab just appears on my page. Does it apply to the new world, the old world, or both. What the fuck is 'mesh'?I don't need more complications. What I want to do is go to 'customize', try on new outfits, save new outfits, and be able to put those new outfits quickly. I have a busy and active real life. I pay $21.00 a month. I want 'user friendly' , not a cyber-puzzle put out by anal-retentive geeks.

My 'ghastly smile' is not a joke to me. In both real and cyber I take a lot of pride in my appearence. There is no way I walk around here looking like Dracula's honey. It gets fixed or I get gone. Now, having vented, I can report that support has gotten back to me to state that they are aware of these problems and working to fix them. Good. This week, I'm upgrading my graphics card. I want to move my act and Miriell's ass into 3D as soon as possible.

And better news to report. I took my babe in today, and she 'is' starting to look better. Another babe popped in right behind me, and she had the same look as me. She also looked as pissed as me. If that's possible. It was good to know that it was nothing 'I'did!

the new my info file, located on your home page, is for the new client(server). Mesh: lets use skirt mesh for example. the skirt mesh is where you would put the gml code such as Skirt Mesh=HF_skirt_long.gml
