i've had that problem before: do a fix and you may have to reset you AVI. the fix did it for me on the last time that happened to me, but the time before i had to rest my AVI.

if you get back to the AVI reset, then apply your skin, hair, and makeup--no clothing, and save your naked skin in the outfits in your closet. then you never have to rest your AVI or if you do it's a couple clicks and your back to your basic AVI.
