Ok so Im able to stream an .mp4 movie through a flahs player but with the advent of the HTML5 Changes I have been using a HTML5 video script and creating a list of movies to show no problems there.

BUT! the amount of .webm movies out there is miniscule and it seems like I have to convert manually before uploading them.

What other formats work with HTML5 and RLC new Support for Chronium?. Ive tried a few and so far only .webm seems to work.

Hi!

As far as I know it's .webm or .ogv only. I think converting will be the only way for now until Flash is all the way gone the end of 2020, or all the popular web browsers have stopped supporting it entirely. After that, I would hope more movies will be available online in .webm format.

i been working at it and here is the good and bad

Still liking webm because of the ability to do way higher reso for simple looping
deco type gizmos. Way better length and reso than swf could ever could do in world.

The bad on webm for that sort of thing? As of last i knew flat as a pancake where you could wrap a swf onto a prop or sky. Not saying there won't ever be a way to do that but right now not a priority for me..... yet

".webm movies out there is miniscule" i do not see a lot of hope that will change Clevo.
i think i know what you are going after since there is plenty out there in .mp4.

h264 won't die as quickly as flash but already and has been being replaced. Not by .webm
but by HLS and MKV/.h265

So what to do? Because converting .mp4 to .webm is both slow and a lot of work.

i will not share what i know to do to get around it, and thankfully combines into what i am working on for a total new SiTV with a lot of things people want. Cue up all see same of any video, plus live channels as we have now in rtmp/flash.

The quirk why we are stuck with just webm (that could change IDK but the devs may)

New RLC is Chromium base (open source) not chrome. Chromium lacks codec to support .h264

It is a licensing issue that the codec support are not in open-source Chromium.

HTML5 video on all the major browsers have no trouble without flash already,

Here is a helpful tip. Try a pornhub webpage in attach web browser the video will play in world.

BUT don't get excited, what is happening is the players on most major video sites that are already html5 have flash fallback on them. Once flash is gone those sites like pornhub will not show in world with the way it is now with Chromium base RLC.

Always ways around it and eventually what i am not willing to share right now. Others will figure out a way also. BUT i can say for myself, makes my head hurt doing the code testing and the countless hours that goes into getting things to work.

My biggest problem is maintaining what SiTV has going now and trying to squeeze in the new processes on the same servers. i crashed one server already reconfiguring things for the new SiTV. Won't be that bad but more work getting a few dead links fixed on SiTV.

i do hope people will continue to donate to help cover cost, it is getting really scary.

Not planning on failing on this or letting anyone down here. SiTV has already PROVEN can do live without flash months ago and well on the way to a new player with even more capabilities than the old flash SiTV.

What are you scared of? SiTV only works when people help Smile

This might help http://html5test.com/

Try that in browsers on your computer then put that page in attach web browser

No .264 support in chromium, where most all other browsers will continue to support .mp4
even after the demise of flash

Silsea has been working hard on keeping good movie and series on SiTv. However, right now she has taken all those movies and series down, cause she says we are not donating enough. How much is enough? She never says how much is enough - just that it's not enough. She says a 140 ppl donating would be enough, but she does not say what those 140 ppl have to donate for it to be enough.

Silsea, Thank you for your hard work, but I need to know- HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH?

If you would have noticed the scrolling text on the SiTV Donation main live channel states
that during donation days SiTV would be doing some maintenance and taking content down.

How much is enough? A good guide to that is what Great people here have done for years each month to help keep SiTV free. The names of those who help average around 140 to 150 a month when the cost is reached. Those 150 people are the ones who help with what they can to keep SiTV free to the 1000's who use it for free and many of which never donated anything at all.

The "maintenance" is mainly to reconfigure in preparation for the demise of flash. Inconsiderate users of SiTV will surely notice that when i add back content about 25 percent of featured links/films/tv show may not work right away. This is because i can not add more servers while struggling on cost and need to cut back some to make room for developing the new SiTV 2.0 that will work without the oncoming end of flash.

To offset the ongoing reduction in those willing to help on cost and hopefully allow to adding more resources. SiTV will be offering a Beta program of the new player soon. SiTV 2.0 will still be free but will consist of a few live channels to choose from. On-demand of content in SiTV 2.0 free will be limited to a smaller amount of current featured films/TV.

Current SiTV Broadcasters will be included with the Beta SiTV 2.0 during testing and development over the next several months leading up to flash demise in Dec 2020. SiTV will offer those who wish to apply to be in on the Broadcaster Beta SiTV 2.0 at a reduced price before it is available to all.

SiTV Broadcaster 2,0 will be able to select from the same archives of the current mega movies or any content they chose and show them privately live or offer their channel to all on all Free SiTV 2.0 players.

TY also Lulabells_Amour and apology for the inconvenience. If it is any consolation please know that during the time i have had all content limited i have been able to make a lot of progress testing and configuring towards the non-flash version of SiTV.

Peace

DESPITE what people say SiTV has 1000's of players and averages around 1500 unique users a day SiTV can not operate on a host plan and 2 low cost VPS as someone who claims to have done their own. SiTV has a dedicated server which since 2011 has been supporting a myriad of deco items people have in their layouts and supports SiTV video players also. That and 4 vps servers take around 4000 rays a month to cover or with average help from people 10 to 100 rays about 150 people helping on cost. GEZZZZZZZ SiTV have stated this plenty of times on SiTV

GOOGLE !!!!!! Safe to say wherever youtube is going the rest
of video on the internet is also.

While checking out the link that was posted in the music section
and how well it will work in world, kinda coming to the conclusion
Google has us all stuck wondering on what exactly will happen Dec 2020

The video shows youtube playlist/SiTV Youtube player page 9 months ago

Our big concern is Chromium browser and what google will do with it on video

What is grrrrrr is what we have in world now with youtube is flash fallback

If flash went away today youtube pages would not work in world.

BUT good old Greedy Google the heavy ads and subscription player works just fine in chromium

https://music.youtube.com/ < in world it is a mess opens ads multiple instances and seems
the scripting conflicts with the attach web browser script on top of blocks most all content

At this point what i know is safe & independent of google is webm/vp8/ogg

Which is consuming all my time getting the closed beta non-flash SiTV going in world by Christmas.

Google could do something other than relying on Greasemonkey extension for Chromium making it easier to use more codecs

But at this point who knows and i am liking the resource/bandwidth i see so far with webm

SiTV ain't playing. What you are seeing in this video is pure
no flash fallback not a drop of H.264 all live and getting real
close to ready for closed beta testing with some very trusted current
SiTV broadcasters.

on the right screen is current sitv live brought into attached web browser
and not a bit of flash attached to it, the center screen is clicked over to a regular youtube
video BUT it is in progress. What that means is anyone who becomes a SiTV broadcaster
on the new non flash SiTV will be able to share Youtube videos live all see same same time
and a f5?....Picks up live right where it was in progress not start over.

The screen on the left is a live view of RLC. All three live instances coming from my PC in what will be an easy
to use UI that is light on computer resources. Most all SiTV customers will have no trouble with sharing their own content
from any media source or format. Doing 3 live at the same time and having 3 players doing 3 channels is way more
than the normal of just 1 live 1 player and it is still not lagging bad.

SiTV ain't playing and i know once the new SiTV is more out there some will hack it and try to sell
copy cat versions of my work and the same code i am using,

SiTV has never done that to other player people here and that is just not cool at all to do.

It is no different than a shady deco person copying the design of another more accomplished deco person and selling
cheap imitations of it when the shady deco person has not the same talent or know how to do their own.

Uv should not tolerate that or should the community support people who do things like that.

The new SiTV UI/Menu??? The new SiTV will do more than just video. Live dice and random number generator
that all see the same time? ....... Child's play compared to the possibilities the New SiTV can do with HTML5.
