Many club properties have dark areas, especially in the corners. The entire second floor of the medium club is so dark I can even start to deco it. You can't even see the top of the stairs.

Is there a way to add lighting to brighten up these these areas?

Thanks

You have to be UVIP to get the light box options in your deco or you have to have someone with a business tag come put in the light areas for you Doc.

I know that some of the lighting is hard coded into the properties (i.e. I can put a create light area trigger box in the medium club vacant property and the walls, floors will not change but it can be seen on my avatar.) I believe there is a work around though. If you put in props to cover the existing walls/floors they should darken/lighten according to the trigger box settings. It's a bit more work but I think it can be done. And if I remember properly if you put in a prop (sign, wall, etc.) it cannot touch the original walls/floors or it will become dark.

I haven't worked with the lighting in a while so that's all from memory. I hope this helps.

Best,

Anhton

pot a trigger box around the area you want to lighten. then put a study light in the box, script create light in the study light and create light area on the trigger box type in a name for zone the same in both props. adjust the light. you can add color if you want. works great for a sunset.

creat trigger box in dark area. select state create light. adjust RGB until the right amount of light is there. the trigger box must be outside the entire area for the walls to be lit. and beneath the floor by at least 3 pixels. remember this, full 256 RGB = white lite.

Thank you very much! But what should I put into the "Region" field?

in region is where you give it a name. "back corner" this way you can copy the setting easily or transfer it it you dont want to deal with a new setup in another section of the room.
