Why can't I post Youtube videos? I know how it's done , it just doesn't work when I do.

You remove the "s" from YouTube's https

and use the BB/ code for YouTube link!

PS: Update your Google Chrome, too!

Post what youtube link you are trying to use so we can figure it out.

Just make sure that you are using the URL link and not the embed code.

Not that I think this was Tickle's problem but just to add a thought.

I am not 100% sure of this especially in a technical sense but I have experienced dozens f time where I have seen a Youtube video I want to post here within an article I am reading, if I click on it to go to YT and use the accompanying URL it will not come up and just show the URL within the BBC YT brackets.

If I type and/or paste my own search words based on the article's references or such and then use that URL the Video comes up.

As said, just a thought.

Hi!

Thought I would post this if others that come across this thread have no idea how to embed a Youtube video on their profile, but would like to. I use div on my Social Center profile page. One of many ways to do it.

Copy and paste embed code from Youtube and replace what I have below from iframe to iframe. If you would like it to auto play put &autoplay=1 at the end of https path just before closing quotation. In my example it would look like Youtube&autoplay=1".

Code:
      <li>
        <div align="center"><iframe width="560" height="315"
src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/whatever this part is from Youtube"
frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope;
picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe></a></div>
     </li>

I almost forgot. You can't test many YouTube videos on your computer especially popular music videos. You will get video unavailable trying to play it using Dreamweaver etc. Seems Youtube prevents that, it has to be on a website.
