If you don't want to quote someones entire thread then click on the Post Reply button instead of the Quote... Click this button to automatically add the BB code and copy and paste whatever you want to quote inbetween the start and end quote boxes This won't give credit to the original poster though so it's polite to add that info as well as being a reference should anyone want to scroll back and read the full post.

I just generally cut out the non appropriate stuff and put in via quote button or I go to original quote post and hit quote that way. Dangle catnip, see and watch what happens as I happen to love catnip! _Ga_Peach_;1339383 wrote:I didn't forget you. I was falling asleep.

I just cut and paste it on a word doc, remove what I don't want between the quotes (unless I'm on posting from my phone - then you get the whole thing) and once I have it all, I copy and paste it into the forum. Make any highlights, underscores or bold letters needed and hit post. Keep in mind, if you want to keep the link to the original post, the quote button is still the best choice. The quote tags is a great tool though that many people forget is there.
