As you might be aware Utherverse is in the process of patching the client again and many of you are aware that last time around things did not go as smoothly as planned. During the last patch we already had a wonderful lot of people who helped us out to solve the issues found, we thank them for their efforts. Therefor to improve on quality and stability of our test, we are looking for anyone willing to help us out.

In most cases this will involve us giving out testing information and we mostly looking for feedback, on the compiled patch. This will help us find errors quicker and able to help us solve potential problems before patching live. You are basically helping the whole of Utherverse.

would love have to help you guys but i do not use discord. still willing to help just email my profile if you need me to help you guys with anything for i have a spectrum of speeds and types of computers. i have one that is at the min requirment up to a gamers computer.

Hi!

More developers are always a good thing, but I don’t think any of us know how many UV has. I do think, however, that even if UV had 50 more its great Red’s invite is posted here. There are still a lot of very creative people in RLC that have been using what the developers had created in the past, and will create now in unique ways. There is no way for them to know every way. They can’t test for the unknown is what I’m saying.

No software company that isn’t worth a billion dollars can even attempt to test for every possibility like different computers, graphics, OSs, and the list goes on. That’s why we are always getting patches and updates from all of them even the billion dollar ones. Heck, Microsoft tests by releasing operating systems to Windows users to find out what isn’t working correctly. No offense Microsoft, but more than you may think know. Tongue Many do that though including other virtual-worlds.

I appreciate that UV at least is trying to include us customers beforehand.

I totally agree that member involvement is always a good thing ,, but as a recent example, the new sphere was not even centered, surely before any software patch addition is added to a platform, there must be some kind of verification process, quality standard of new additions to be signed off before patched, or added to the platform.

Ok use members to test things that are out of the norm, unexpected conflicts glitches etc, are beyond standard verification, but I am talking about BASICS !

Microsoft before an update is released, has a lot of companies, that test and develop for them, and are part of the Microsoft Developer/partner programme, and yes they have to patch when glitches that are unforeseen occur.

What About an Utherverse Insider programme, that would at least generate some professional interest !

This of course can not be compared to Utherverse as its such a small world in the big picture of MMO, but really how can a company that was the leader in 3d virtual technology fall so far behind others.

As well all know Porn is still one of the biggest revenue makers of the internet, but when you see other NEW companies like Sine Space getting a MMO out there, in a short amount of time, I really do think and wonder where Utherverse is really having their focus.

That virtual-world is PG13 only, but I get what you are saying. Reminds me of what the Curio browser is meant to be (VWW), but with naughty virtual-worlds to visit, as well.

I still think it's nice UV has included us customers in the revamp of RLC Classic before Flash goes away end of 2020. RLC is still my virtual home when I have free time, and it is for many for many reasons.

There was a time when I would have been willing to help do almost anything (as long as it was legal) but the way the Powers That Be have treated me lately, I will never help them do anything else again.

Even though Karmha got you back by losing the entire clothing system for a few days (i wonder how many rays RLC lost because of that), I am still not helping.


I have always tried my best to help rlc with everything from basic members to sponsoring events and any other way i could. I have brought several members to this game, but NEVER AGAIN.

There is no QA testing going on right now. The last one was in December for the most recent patch. Once there will be something to test, it will certainly be published here.

Hi Amar,

Quality Assurance (QA) is not about day to day, or monthly changes. It is based on the UV developers need for input on changes made, or glitches found in-world. I send support tickets to QA sometimes.

With all the time that has passed with this post, UV has not added any new animation at all, this falls under the broken promises thread, I would say not one promise has been fulfilled here, from the post that was last posted here before the post before mines, that was over a year ago, they promised a new patch at the convention, where is it?

P.S Hey UV the other site has hijacked Glowies and Trails, but you keep with the broken promises here, just keep adding new world texture to the prop editor and ignore everything else.

Well guess what. They didn't do diddly squat here but spent the time improving the quick bar for the new promised land site that may never launch to the point that even the Dev could not operate it when presented at the Virtual Con 2022. I got to tell you with all the asking us what would we like to see. I bet not one dam person said a improved Quick Bar. Make it a big ass square taking up half a page instead of a slim rectangle at the top of the page.
