You could always find Rudy in the Transport Center parading one of his outlandish male clothing styles there or on the Street. His most recognizable design was the Zoot suit complete with large brimmed fedora as a striped pink pimp outfit for men always was an eye catcher. He later hooked up with a friend or ours named Red_Alert and she brought Rudy and I together briefly. He was very encouraging to me when RLC was growing as a community. He liked my ideas about designing new activities for new experiences beyond clubbing which was and continues to be very popular today. My idea was to have an Orient Express type train club as a getaway for adventures and rendezvous that had a main station and then a simulated animation of a moving elegant train which traversed through a changing countryside with day and night scenes. Passengers and club goers could move from car to car visiting club cars or to test out the private sexy sleeper cars, or just socialize on observation cars, etc.) Rudy’s feedback in the forum for these types of game improvements was always positive. He wanted this place to improve in all dimensions and directions. But Rudy's main concern was clothing and mesh design as well as dating the many lovely ladies that were so plentiful in the early years. Right on Rudy!
Rudy carried a lot of respect and prestige in those days and I felt very flattered when he singled out my posts to compliment and encourage my ideas. In the early early infancy of clothing design here in RLC there was a script introduced to RLC that allowed the sharing of clothing meshes. RLC ONLY allowed sharing of the designs submitted for approval. Those interested in showing off their designs would have to upload them whereby they would become available after an internal review to all who used the script. RLC in those days did not have a policy whereby they allowed or condoned the exchange of rays for the sharing of clothing designs. Rudy was a creative and outlandish designer. And Rudy began a public disagreement with this policy in this forum. Some supported him and others thought he was being selfish, arrogant, and an opportunist. Many were his critics so very wrong about him and the position he took. He was proud of his designs and saw the danger early with people co-opting his work as well as other people’s designs and passing them off as their own (sound familiar?) And this argument began in 2007 and continued through 2008.
Rudy refused to participate in the free sharing program while he continued to design more clothing for men and women. Red_Alert was his model and she and he would show up in-world to parade his work; and, he would gladly give away meshes to special trusted friends. He wanted all designers to get credit and compensation for their ideas and long hours of work on their contributions to fashion in Red Light Center.
Rudy openly clashed with Brian and World-Ops on HIS RIGHT to protect his work and to charge users a nominal fee for his ideas and hard work to bring these meshes to the game. My have times changed. We now take it for granted that clothing design and the acceptance that you can charge and receive game ray compensation that credits you as well as rewards you in rays for your innovative designs and their marketing. Rudy became very ill and died suddenly before this issue was resolved. Sadly, Rudy did not live long enough to see that he was right the whole time and his insistence on including a ray based market system for designers of all kinds has made Red Light Center better and exciting. So please, remember his legacy as a pioneer for Red Light Center who made it a better place for all of us.
WE MISS YOU RUDY. YOU COULD SEE THE FUTURE.
You can find a dedicated memorial for RudyVasalino as well as for Red_Alert in the Memorial Park. Dear Red_Alert became ill also not long after Rudy's passing and she joined him there to be remembered by longtime friends. Rest in peace my friends. ~Tipp

No details yet, we are trying to ascertain all the facts but we do know he had a bad flu at the time. We will pass on any updates and at this time are trying to ascertain the cost of a memorial in UV. Someone said this should be free when they paid VIP since 2008 but we know that isn't likely and just hope that the memorial goes to Curio with all the people in it. A regular in the street and VIP since 2008, so if you must move this post people just bear in mind the guy was around a long time, far longer than this post will last.
