Here is where I will post those miscellaneous tools that I have found and in most cases tried and used (if I haven't personally tried it, it will be noted). These may range from system optimization tools to free audio and video tools.
(If it's not posted by me, of course I accept no blame for it, lol)

DEFRAG TOOLS
[hr]
Windows is very inefficient when it comes to putting files back where it got them. This leads to your computer working harder and taking longer to do stuff. Frankly, the built in defrag program in Windows sucks. Here are a few FREE tools you can use to help this.

IObit SmartDefrag (I am currently testing this, and so far it works surprisingly well)

This is a very user-friendly, and customizable defrag program that you can use manually or automatically.

PageDefrag

This program defragments the page files (basically, virtual memory sticks) that are normally missed by almost all defrag programs. I set it to run every start-up.

Power Defragmenter GUI

This is what is says, a power defragmenter. This actually runs in a command prompt (DOS like screen, dark, blinky line) which makes it more efficient, but the "GUI" means that is has a Windows interface (Windows based controls) so you don't have to touch the command prompt yourself. Works extremely well, can be used in addition to the others above.

AUDIO/VIDEO TOOLS
[hr]
Here are a couple tools I found and love. Tired of those bulky programs needed to run those proprietary files. Here are alternatives.

QuickTime Alternative
Tired of that massive QuickTime program, but you know you have to have it. Say no more. QuickTime Alternative is here to save the day. This installs the QuickTime Codecs, etc..., but leaves out the rest of this bulky program. With this, you an even set your QuickTime files to open from Windows Media Player or maybe your favorite video software.

Real Alternative
Tired of that massively huge RealPlayer that you downloaded to watch those 3 files you found on the net 2 months ago. Here's the solution. This is like the QuickTime alternative above, except for RealPlayer.
