I can add furniture, but now I've got a bed and table that floats. How do I get it on the floor?

make sure you have the object selected, then click on the Position tab and adjust the Y axis.

Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't but you can select the object you want to move by right clicking and select PLACE, hold the Control Button and use your Mouse wheel to raise and lower it.

Or like said above, go to your Positions Tab, and adjust the Height of your object with the GREEN arrows,
