So, I go to my profile, but can't find a method to set a nice backround, fonts and colors.......How do I do this?

if you sign up you can make your own backgrounds
once you get the code you put it into the section about me on your profile
just do a search on profile layouts and you can check out some sites

you can add pics ( use the HTML code) or find comments from profile comment sites,music videos from sites like youtube
you can add a music player,a good site is http://www.playlist.com/

Here is what you have to do to add a layout to your profile:

First you must choose a layout, from many layout places.

pimpmyprofile.com
myspace.com

Or just write profile layout in the internet bar, it will take you to many places.

2nd:
-pick out and preview your layout.
-get code
-copy and paste code into your profile.

My home - my profile- personnality- about me (paste the code in there)
And dont forget to SAVE CHANGES in the bottom.
and then view your profile.

As easy as that.
