I recently applied to become an ambassador, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice. I've been watching staff, and how they interact with members and trying to learn, it's something I'm very passionate about. I want to give back to the community, been here quite a while and I have enjoyed my time!!! Thanks, and be safe everyone Grin

And remember as an ambassador you can't fix everything. Something's only employees of RLC can fix somethings. So direct people to the Chat feature on Support after 12 noon on the east coast.

Hiya Boo,

Depends who your applying to Volunteer for...

Guides...you need extensive knowledge of RLC as your the first person New people meet. So need to help them. Many are not well with English so have to learn how to cross the language barrier (Google Translate) helps.

If applying as an Ambassador.... Then you need to be out going and generate fun as you will be hosting Events. Either running competitions or supporting those Ambys who are.

Both positions you will also get asked a thousand questions from customers about many things that they want answers to, not all are happy. So need to expect some anger towards you. Just need to be calm and point them towards were will help them Smile

Lillie Boo, The first step is to apply. But most importantly your enthusiasm is very welcome. I am an Ambassador as well. I will say being at events, being in local chat, chatting, getting known, and participating are HUGE Steps. Thank you.

I too, am an Ambassador, and I agree with all that Chaos said and i'd like to add, to be yourself and enjoy the atmosphere each event generates.

Everyone that attends each event makes it unique in their own way and that's where the social aspect would come into it and maybe ask a few questions to some of the Ambassadors that are attending as support to get the proper understanding, we all are a social bunch and am sure would welcome your questions.

Does the Chat feature on Support really work?

(Never has for me...)
