I have recently bought a new laptop that runs windows 8, I have downloaded SAM PRO but for some strange reason its not working, I had a windows 7 laptop and it worked perfectly there. I have uninstalled and re installed using revo uninstall but still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated

What version of SAM Broadcaster you have?

Only versions 2013/2014 onward do officially support Windows 8.
Earlier versions (4.x.x) are not running stable or crash, especially on x64 bit Win8.

Ok, thats the latest version and should work.

However, I don't use SAM anymore as I switched to Traktor for DJ purpose years ago already.
Maybe post here what error you get, or describe the problem a bit more.

Maybe someone who looks in here is able to help.
Or have a look on their Support Forum

This can be also a other issue - not related to SAM.

Do your upstream in SAM to the shoutcast server work? Is it connected when you play?
Do the installed Steam in your club work? Can you hear the stream when open it in a webbrowser or winamp for example?

when i add my stream to my club, sam is working, my shoutcast is working, i can hear music when i play in winamp just not in the club

the format it is in that will not work in world.

Make sure all other streams and radio URLs are deleted from the props in the Prop Editor or the DJ stream will not work .

I've always had a port number in any I have had and I use Icecast instead - which has a different style link than Shoutcast. Make sure you don't need one like Czar posted.

Are you sure you have the SAM encoders setup and running correctly? Yuo picked the right Shoutcast option? Put the correct port in the encoder, addy and password?

i got the link from clicking on the url that she gave. Going to the page it generated and opting to open in winamp. In winamp you can get any stream url, including port, by clicking on stream info.

I did inspect the html on the page, but opened it in winamp to double check it.

It takes a couple of seconds to verify in winamp.

If the stream was actually broadcasting there is a stream info section on the page itself.As she wasnt...it was blank lol.
