Was just looking at this, and the cost. This is what you get for the top spot, seriously $1000-$3000 is a lot of money and I honestly don't see how the stuff you get below is worth that amount of money.

Central Mall was last years gold sponsor, and as Im sure is the same with the other sponsors, there were discounts given from the prices listed above. Im sure if you wanted to be a sponsor and offered 50% it would probably be accepted.

Its not about what you get in the package - but the exposure. Im not sure I can say we made money off being the sponsor - but we certainly didnt lose anything. We easily made enough new business contacts to cover the costs. And the exposure was well worth it.

Quite time consuming though to be honest!

The last convention tried to charge me as an attendee when I registered...

I nearly didn't attend but thanks to a certain sexy Hairboss I got to hump all the displays wohooo!!


This VirtualCon was free to register as an attendee! Very smart

The charge for the last convention (AEVC) absolutely killed traffic the first two days of the event. While they say it was for industry people only - if thats the case next year, it certainly is not worth an inworld business participating with no traffic.

Seriously .. asking as 0815 random_joe member here...

Tell me one reason why I should pay a cover charge as visitor for such a event?
A event that only consist halls full of advertising and speakers that I can watch in real time on "Being Me",
I was about to attend last year .. saw the cover charge.. turned back around and thought "lol, fuck yourselfs".

You want the convention to become a place where members and business meet together? -> cover charge for visitors = epic fail.

It's not like that UV does have any heavy expenses like events in Real Life would have.
