I wanted to do this posting to share some custom props along with some textures.

I want to say Thank You to The Wraith for posting the props.

The First One is The Custom Planter


There are a few steps but I really like the way it looks (I hope you do too).




1. Create the prop Rose Fountain Optimized, place it on the floor and where you want your planter to be.

2. Re-scale the fountain to (X=2.00) (Y=1.20) (Z=2.00)

3. in the script tab select "Cache Web Image" and add this texture.

4. In the state tab select "Texture Translucent" click the button and change the number to 100


Now you have just the base of the fountain.


Clone the base and place it at the same location as the first one.


Re-scale the clone to (X=1.75) (Y=.01) (Z=1.75) move the clone up by 75-80 pixels add the following texture

Now you should have the boarder and potting soil, you can add plants as you like. If you would like to use the ones I show in my picture. They are done on the alpha pine tree. Here are textures

Scale for plants

Roses (X=1.25) (Y=.75) (Z=1.25)

Tree (X=2.50) (Y=2.00) (Z=2.50)

You can download the images and store them on your hosting. or you can use the links that I proved as they are in utherbucket.

The bench that I used is the Roman Marble Bench, it is available in your prop list.

If you like to see this in-world goto my showroom (link below) I have 2 of them inside the showroom.

Play around with scaling and plants please enjoy.

It does when I download it.

Make sure that when you save it to your computer, it is saving as a .png file and not as a .jpg. Sometimes, your computer will automatically save it as the last kind of file you used.

Thanks Matt, these are very nice.

I have issues with sizing, no I'm not the sizing police, I just know that sizes that are not divisible by the 32 or 64 bit does cause lag and the plants could cause issues, especially for those with lower end computers.

I'm showing the roses are 417x400, the white flower bush is 2527x2527, and the tree is 800x600

I never thought to use the rose fountain as a planter, what a great idea. I've used the other fountain as a hot tub, it works great because of the shape and it also has thickness.

If your using Firefox when grabbing the textures that is probably the problem. Chrome works with transparent images a lot better the Firefox does.

I have checked the Rose bush and it has a transparent background. As for the lag I have used these images before without any problems, but thanks for the note.

You can always resize them as needed just be sure to save them as a PNG (use Photoshop or Gimp)

I will be posting smaller images here, for those who may have have older computers, and wish to have the smaller images.

One more thing these images were taken from a website that I am a member and are free use images. So don't worry about using them.
