I searched this one, and could only find advice on how to make props move randomly. Does anyone know how to make a prop move in a straight line, without turning? I want it to go from point A to point B.

Thank you!

If you use 'move within bounded box' you can get it to go back and forth but it does turn and go back the other way. Put a number in just the x box and the object will go in one direction but it does turn and come back and repeat.

Well, I wonder now if I was just doing something stupid. I had been having trouble keeping the prop from turning and pivoting as it moved along the X axis. It seemed to ignore me when I put the Turn Rate to 0.00, but now it's working better. I appreciate the advice!

By the way, I'm using this to put Plane Props in the sky with clouds on them, and having them drift very very slowly across my night sky. It's a nice effect, especially with multiple clouds at varying heights to give a feeling of depth, and then you have the stars and moon behind them fixed in place in the sky.

Could always experiment with having a shooting star traversing the sky. Did one a long time ago in a night scene, looked good but damned if I can remember how I did it and cant get inworld to look.

Just a thought Smile

Always disable move in bounded box BEFORE relocating object. It will try to find it original start point and can be frustrating. I speak from experience. Grrr that damned fish.
