I would suggest that your first option would be to contact the person who sold the layout to you. They are probably the owners of the PB account which is having the problem. They may have moved something by mistake and this would break the links and cause the checkered boxes. Hopefully they will be able to get it fixed for you.

This is why I make my own stuff. Here is a site that can help you a bit. Clippingmagic.com will help make transparencies by removing backgroumds. It's a simple drag and drop operation takes a few seconds.
If you want to make a rug use a 3d sign. looks better and you can layer under it.
This one helps with gifs and other stuff as well again simple to do and free.. We all.like free.https://www.online-image-editor.com
