Back when I used PB (April 2011), I had many images taken down (just naked avatars, not real nudity). So I asked why, because they were in private folders, and were never shared except here on the UV forums. This was the response I received: Quote:Your account contained images which violate our Terms of Use. These Terms apply to all users regardless of the Public/Private setting of the account. When you created the account, you agreed to abide by these terms and we clearly explained the consequences of violating those terms. Photobucket.com attempts to maintain a website that is absent of offensive, indecent or objectionable content. That is our general policy and your images were removed in accordance with that policy. The Photobucket.com Terms of Use, found at http://www.photobucket.com/terms, reflect that policy by giving Photobucket the right to remove content that, among other things, (a) it deems unlawful, obscene, harmful, threatening, defamatory, or hateful; (b) invades the privacy of any third party; (c) contains nudity, illustrated nudity, pornography, illustrated pornography, child erotica, or child pornography; or (d) Photobucket deems otherwise objectionable. How they found them, who knows! I'm guessing someone here with a grudge reported them. So if they were just for you in your private venue, they would probably be safe. But, PB might also do random checks, bc like who would have a grudge against me So I switched to Zenfolio. They have been awesome. But the site isn't designed for image hosting, it is more for portfolios, so its a little complicated to set up properly, because you do need to make the images private, but they need to be shareable too. You do this with a Private Gallery, And Public Images inside. Here is a guide: http://www.zenfolio.com/z/help/support-center#/customer/en/portal/articles/408223-controlling-accessAnother one that is more popular here and people seem to have success with is SmugMug. PB are a buncha prudes!
