I received the following message from a member regarding the YouTube API Codes:

Youtube has change their API codes effecting playlist and how they used to work in world

i been trying to find a work around without success maybe if you put it out there

the community can find a solution or definite answer to it

If anyone has a work around for the YouTube codes to make a playlist, please post here and I will update the SUPER list as the playlist info contained therein is now obsolete.

Any insight from anyone would be appreciated.

Current Youtube playlist code example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSs2cR2Tvuk&list=PLtl803dIwdQm2z9FPwQaeKqHycd-uEUp9

Modified to play in zaby:
https://www.youtube.com/v/XSs2cR2Tvuk?list=PLtl803dIwdQm2z9FPwQaeKqHycd-uEUp9

Modified with autostart and loop added:
https://www.youtube.com/v/XSs2cR2Tvuk?autoplay=1&loop=1&list=PLtl803dIwdQm2z9FPwQaeKqHycd-uEUp9

Replacing the v=code and the list=code with that of your own should work. Some Vevo videos can only be watched from the YouTube web site and will cause an error.

do you want the sound off for just you? or for everyone?... If its just for you, you can turn off world music with the lil tool icon in the upper right corner of your In World screen. Otherwise you have to code it in the HTML like this... video.volume=0.1;

Thanks Laz ThumpUp I thought there might be a code in there somewhere.

I have music playing, its so I can have background images running without it overlaying the tunes.

Script and coding is something I just cant wrap my mind around.. no matter how much I try...lol

Is there a way to make the video play continuously rather than starting at the beginning for those coming in or when you have to f5.

This happens only when the content is streaming,

(like tv streaming channels, or members streaming video feeds -

or video DJing).

There is also DrakeTV, who has this option

(all see same content, and if someone changes channel

all see the same again)

And most custom players,

(made for Theaters or Private Venues),

having this option, too!

Where, for example, do you place the video.volume=0.1; code in the above referenced youtube code for restart and loop ( https://www.youtube.com/...dQm2z9FPwQaeKqHycd-uEUp9 )

I have tried several ways, and still get the sound.

Thanks!

Volume code will not work in the URL like "loop" or "autoplay" does. There are 3 possible ways I can think of to mute the volume.
1)The user clicks the volume control on screen.
2)Edit the movie removing sound and re-uploading to YouTube as MovieNameWithOutSound.
3)Create an Iframe on a web page where volume code works then use "attach web browser" in game.
This would require YourOwnServer.com.

I posted in the how to forum concerning a issue with you tube players in rlc that started last week and havent been able to get the problem resolved yet. I am hoping that bringig this post from last year back up may help.
The suggestion of how to set the codes in script for the player that Kesha posted above worked perfectly from last year until last week.
You tube must have changed something again because now all my players will only play the first song on the list and wont even show the list on the player now.
The example Kesha posted above with the autoplay and loop is doing the same thing as my players.

Does anyone else still have you tube players and if so...are they working properly?

Any help would be appreciated

Looks like this is a bug with Youtube's Flash player in general. And since they have phased out the Flash player as the default, there's a fair chance this won't get fixed any time soon.

It is not working (https://www.youtube.com/v/videocode),
and since it is declared as deferred by Google, I don't think it will ever get addressed as "a bug". In other words, this is it folks. New standards for auto-adjusting player for target device are marching away from our old rusty RLC. No more youtube in zaby.

Please someone say I am wrong, and how to make youtube video playing again.

Videos now require "?version=2" added to the URL

Note: version, loop and autostart are known as Flash variables. When adding Flash variables to your URL the first starts with the "?" sign. Any addition Variables then use the "&" sign.

Example:
https://www.youtube.com/v/XSs2cR2Tvuk?version=2&autoplay=1&loop=1
