I have been getting really into pimping my profile, part of it was removing the top navigation bar, sooo I'm trying to make one on the left side of the profile, I have seen it on others but everyone has closed lips on the subject it seems, I have browsed the Web for hours with nothing to show for it but a splitting headache.

Any help would be great, a workable HTML code would be fantastic Cheesy

Thanx in advance

Talisman

Hi Dusty,

It worked fantastic, thank you very much

Any idea how to move it down though or away from the left some?

You are very welcome and glad it worked.

I do no think they can be moved away from the side borders but they will move up and down if you make sure that auto scroll box is checked on the script page.

You can also make the boxes bigger by clicking the size box on the widget form.

The only way that I believe it can be done is to download the CSS file and script it with a top and side margin.

You could send a message to the author, Viegoth, on here and ask him and he will advise you on what to do and if it can be done at all.

You can contact Vie here:

If you want to change the default placement of the widget panel, then edit the code. You can add your own position parameters to the "style" section.

Example:
Code:
<div id="panel1" class="panel1" style="display:'';">

Look for the above line in the code, then edit the style parameters.

Example:
Code:
<div id="panel1" class="panel1" style="top:100px;left:30px;display:'';">

If you notice, I added a "top" and "left" style setting. In this example, it would move the widget down 100 pixels from the top and over 30 pixels from the left.

That's all you need to do.

Thanks Vie. As it is your program, I figured best thing to do was ask you regarding changing the code. Happy Easter also.

To make this even easier to do in the future, I've gone ahead and added starting position fields to the Widget Generator page. This way people won't have to mess with the code in the future.
