I was just wondering if anyone knows how to create a thunderstorm and lightning...I have tried a couple of things but nothing seems to workSad

You better use a combination, of s stormy flash sky

and rain- lighting effects scripts!

I believe klasscdame has some animated skies. I'm not sure if any of them contain lightning. The rain part can easily be done with emitters. (please note that emitters can cause lag).

Her nursery hub has lightning and thunder at the main entrance, but last time I was there, there were no flash skies for sale Sad . Maybe she has them now.
I seem to remember hearing that someone made the storm for her... maybe it was on a sign there... I'll have to go take a look.

You can at least add the sound effects for storm,

and then find a good flash thunderstorm sky!

So lure people forward. Mix of gentle lights... soft distant sounds etc allow people to follow curious to what you have in store for them.

Unfortunately, Photobucket does not host .swf files any longer. There are a number of free .swf hosts out there if you google them.
In the meantime, here is a file I found http://dagobah.net/flash/epic_lightning.swf it might work if you edit out the sound and slow the frame rate down.

I tried the SWF on a moon and it doesn't fit correctly. I did this conversion with a program made just for that. Later tonight I'm going to try to bring the gif into the full Flash program and see if I can resize it to make it proportional and within the standard RLC guidelines (512x512 etc.)

In the next generation of utherverse/RLC 1 called Curio /RLC 2.0 u can use the weather editor to creat ur own weather for ur owned places without using scripts and flash files links.
but here in the old RLC 1.0 it is still with scripts and links only possible.

I played around with the weather options in the alpha version of Curio. It looked great.
