I have an interesting question for all you seasoned decos out there. Can any of you provide me with a pros and cons comparison of the various properties that are available? Unless there is a significant point of difference between a small, medium, large, or x-large property we don't need that comparison. I.e lump the water foundations together as one.

Thank you
Elmerfudddaffy

I think it would be easier if you said what you wanted to build and maybe someone could suggest a platform.

Thank you Randy for your response and for those that emailed me responses. I posed this question to gather information as to why choose property a over property b. Some things I can figure for myself such as rent and population. I also know that water foundations make things swimmable and in fact have used one for my very first deco project. The information I'm looking for are the other factors involved if not building within the confines(when possible). I would like this information for my own edification and for deciding what property to use for future projects.

Thank you

LOL still did not tell me much....

Overall I like the vacant park as to size and rent...

Hard coded floors are nice for clubs but some of those platforms seem to have built in lag to me...

once again it is what it is to be used for...

Actually it is not too much important the type of the property cause you can built a house or even a city outside of some properties in space ,free from properties type and how big small and functions of it.

Thank you mysterylilac. So from what you are saying is that if you're building outside the confines of the property where possible then the only considerations are rent and population.

Thank you

hum OK...

Build as big as you want outside a zaby...rent 12 rays a year (if you do not have a free one left) max pop 5

Build as big as you want outside a vacant park..rent 25 rays a month (you get one for free) Max pop 300

There are some properties you can not get outside of..

Have you clicked on buy properties and checked stuff out..

Have done that with a few but without purchasing one can't explore all aspects of a property.

If that is not your free one...

go get the free one...it is called

Vacant park small I think
it is the one without the building just the square fence around it..think it is template 1154

It is free to you and no rent...

then break out of it...

==================

Set a prop with move to location script at 100000 XYZ

set Avatar to Fly

click prop

use surface water_02 with collide at 40,000 (Y) elevation (this prop is your largest floor and is huge)
scale it x-10.00 y-1.00 z-10.00 or larger if you want

There will be a dead spot over the little park at any height..

if you want to use move to location scripts stay inside (100,000) & (-100,000) XZ as they default to 100,000 on any larger number....

you can build from scratch there and increase pop up to 300 comes at pop 25

========================================

here is an old post about it
