Hello Jessica,
in order to fly, the rules in the respective layout must first allow someone to fly.
As soon as this is the case, all you have to do is press the Ctrl key once and your avatar will automatically take up the flying position (slightly tilted forward).
Now all you have to do is take off by pressing both mouse buttons at same time, keep them pressed and move the avatar in all directions with moving your mouse.
As soon as you press the Ctrl key again, your avatar will land more or less gently on the next collidable prop.
If the rules of the respective layout
do NOT provide for flying, your avatar will start to run when you press the Ctrl key.
Swimming is even easier, but the water of the respective layout must be swimmable. Simply enter the water. As soon as your avatar loses its footing, it starts to swim, assumes the posture set up for it and you will immediately hear the bubbling of the air bubbles.
The rest is like flying again, hold down both mouse buttons at the same time and control your avatar by moving the mouse.
